How Counselling Improved My Life

For many years, I had severe anxiety. Some days it would be so bad that I couldn't leave the house. My parents became very worried about me and in the end, they shipped me off to a counsellor. I was very resistant to this idea. I didn't want to see anyone, especially not a counsellor. My first session was a bit of a disaster. However, as the weeks went by and I attended more sessions, I found myself opening up and speaking about my feelings. Talking to the counsellor really helped me to grow and to overcome my anxiety. I hope my blog encourages others to give counselling a go!
